Tra Que Vegetable Village .
Traveling by private car helps you to be flexible with the starting time but the best time is in the early morning to enjoy the fresh air when you get to the first destination – Tra Que Vegetable Village . Tra Que Vegetable Village is about 3km from Hoi An City, even though this is just a small village but quite famous for over 20 kinds of vegetables and herbs supplying organic vegetables for Hoi An city and other nearby cities. Many vegetables are used for daily cooking such as: basil, onions, Vietnamese mints, corianders, lettuces, cilantro… and grown very cleanly and healthily by non chemical fertilizers. Visiting Tra Que Village, not only can you enjoy the fresh, peaceful atmosphere but also have a chance to try to become a local farmer, you can experience the farmer’s works like: raking the soil, watering, picking vegetables, and many other interesting activities that will bring you an unforgettable experience.
Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village
Another local village in the tour is Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village . Cam Thanh, located about 5km from Hoi An, is a typical village of rural Vietnam. Recently, thanks to many eco tours to villages in Hoi An, Cam Thanh with its beautiful water coconut palm forest has become a favorite spot for tourists. Once arriving to the village, you can take a small bamboo boat to go deeper in the coconut palm forest to see more natural beauty of the village and see local people working in the rice field or fishing on the river. You can also join a cooking class at some local families and enjoy lunch here with the dishes you made after you have learned. Thanh Ha Pottery Village
The next destination of the tour is Thanh Ha Pottery Village , located near Thu Bon river and 3km from the ancient town. Thanh Ha Pottery Village has been formed and developed for over 500 years since Hoi An was a busy trading port. The pottery products are: bowls, plates, jars, tea pots, vases in many shapes, colors and sizes supplying for local people and domestic markets. Coming to the village, you can have a chance to observe local craftsmen using traditional technique to make potteries, based on the mixed clay and temperature, products can be in different colors. You can also try to make your own pottery or collect souvenirs from the skillful craftsmen which could be a fun experience.
My Son Sanctuary
The final destination is My Son Sanctuary, It is cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temple constructed between 4th and 14th century by the Kings of Cham. The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. It is often compared with other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia such as Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat of Cambodia and Bagan of Myanmar. Even it was partially ruined by time and war, the gorgeous scenery is still worth a trip
